Ian Burns

President/Owner

Ian is responsible for the overall leadership, development of resources and financial performance of BRICON Construction. Ian brings over 35+ years of experience in construction. Ian has worked for several well-known general contractors, one in which he held the position of the Vice President. His diverse industry experience features a variety of project types, including commercial, retail, hospitality, restaurants, industrial malls and office spaces. Since opening BRICON Construction Ian has been the driving force for the company’s ongoing business development, operations, growth and performance efforts.


Andrew Burns

Vice President of Operations

Andrew began his construction career in 2001, working summers as a labourer in the commercial sector. He quickly earned roles of increasing responsibility, eventually becoming a Site Supervisor. In 2007 Andrew and Ian started BRICON Construction.

Andrew is responsible for the execution of regional and national projects. As a Project Manager he manages teams to ensure each client’s needs are specifically met and that every project is delivered on time and on budget.

Helen Stone

Vice President of Business

Helen has been with BRICON since 2014 and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company’s commercial accounting department.

Her positive attitude and dedication to client service has made her a valuable asset for both BRICON and its clients, and her management skills have been instrumental in taking on leadership role to hire, train, and direct company office staff.

Helen has perfected her corporate accounting skills while at BRICON and has an in-depth knowledge of operational accounting and cash flow management. She also manages related software applications and brings quality and consistency to BRICON’s accounting operations.

Kayla Van Den Heuvel

Project Manager

Kayla started working for BRICON in August 2018. Kayla has over six years combined experience in both project coordination and administrative roles. With her strong communication, organization and diligent record keeping skills, Kayla is confident she will have a positive impact on all projects, while maintaining positive relationships with all involved.

Scott Blakney Atlantic Canada

Senior Project Manager

Scott has been working with Bricon as a freelance project manager and sub -contractor in the Atlantic Canada region for approximately 8 years. As of September 2019 Scott joined Bricon to operate and manage our new Atlantic Canada office based in the Moncton, NB area.

He is a highly skilled Project Management Professional with over 20 years’ experience in the commercial and retail construction industry. He has an extensive construction portfolio and prides himself on the total execution of projects from start to finish delivering projects safely on time.

His market knowledge and experience expands across Canada and the United States. He has effectively managed staff, sub trades and projects in the healthcare, retail, hospitality, municipal, financial and food service industries.

Griffin Michaud

Project Manager

Griffin started at BRICON in May 2022. He excels in problem-solving, adeptly navigating challenges to keep projects on course and within scope. A firm believer in the power of collaboration, Griffin fosters strong partnerships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors alike, prioritizing open communication and transparency.

With a forward-thinking approach, Griffin anticipates industry trends and embraces cutting-edge technologies to drive efficiency and sustainability in every project he undertakes. His unwavering dedication to client satisfaction ensures that each endeavor is not merely completed but exceeds expectations, leaving a lasting legacy of excellence.

Dylan Johnson

Jr. Estimator

Dylan started working with BRICON in January 2024, as a Junior Estimator. Dylan began his journey in the construction industry while employed with the Canadian Armed Forces in 2010, helping with base construction and renovations. Following his time there, he found himself exploring different sectors of the building industry, learning the trades and familiarizing himself within them.

Over the past 7 years Dylan has been specializing in the framing of residential, multi-family and custom homes throughout Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. Dylan has proven strong capabilities in understanding the construction process and utilizing his time management skills and organization. With his strong analytical skills and attention to detail, we know Dylan will do great things here at BRICON.
